Pasta Making

Make your own pasta! Learn the secret to great homemade pasta and flavoured pastas. No pasta making experience is necessary – anyone can join. Come prepared for hands on work and to have some fun with a rolling pin and mastering a pasta machine. You will learn how to create a great sauce to finish your dish off. Once the pasta is made we’ll all sit down to a delicious Italian meal using your perfect pasta creations.

Knife Skills and Seasonal Salads! *The KCI Staff Recommended Class*

Anyone who cooks needs to know how to use a knife. Join us as we teach you the essential skills needed, from how to correctly hold your knife and the item you are cutting to basic cuts needed for food preparation. We will also go over how to maintain and sharpen your knife. Bring your knife to practise your skills or try our selection of knives to see which is your favourite. All this prep work will be used to make two seasonal soups!

Based on one of our best selling cookbooks, Make Ahead Meals by Michael Smith, this class focuses on simple, healthy cooking using a variety of ingredients and techniques that will make meal planning enjoyable. Learn valuable tips and how to prep ahead for the week as we prepare several recipes with day two and day three options. Learn to incorporate a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients that you might normally find hard to use. Make Ahead Meals book purchase recommended for this class. (15% off with class sign up)

During Classes a shopping time is provided. All attendees receive a 10% discount on kitchenware items (regular price items) and can save up to 15 % on featured items during the class.
